Choose your trip from Los Gigantes
Los Gigantes is one of western Tenerife’s main departure points for looking for dolphins and whales. Compare speedboats and sailing trips, with or without swimming, and choose by duration, group size, stability and meeting point. Wildlife is free-ranging: no operator can guarantee a sighting.

Before heading to the marina
Why depart from Los Gigantes
The marina gives boats access to the cliffs and the western coast. The boat you choose changes the pace, available space and the way you experience the scenery.
Speedboat or sailing boat
A speedboat usually fits the experience into less time and feels more dynamic. Sailing is calmer and often smaller-scale; compare duration, shade and water access.
Swimming, snorkelling and Masca coast
Some trips include a swim stop or approach the Masca coast. This depends on sea conditions and is not the Masca Gorge hike.
Morning, afternoon and parking
Choose a departure that fits your day, allow time to reach Los Gigantes marina and check the weather-change policy before paying.
Routes, stops and times may change for safety. Sightings are not guaranteed and wildlife must not be fed or chased.
Frequently asked questions
Can you see whales and dolphins all year?
Resident marine wildlife and sightings are possible year-round, but the animals are wild and no particular sighting can be guaranteed.
Should I choose a speedboat or sailboat?
Choose a speedboat for a dynamic, compact trip; choose sailing for a calmer experience and usually a smaller group.
Does the trip reach Masca beach?
Do not assume it. Some trips approach the coast or include swimming, but the exact route depends on the product and sea conditions.
