51st Tamaimo Hill Climb presents its programme and safety operation

The event takes place on 9 and 10 October with a night convoy, four runs, a drift exhibition and road closures from 06:30 on Saturday.

The 51st Tamaimo Hill Climb was presented on 1 October at Landmar Playa La Arena. Organisers confirmed the programme for the event on 9 and 10 October 2026, including new attractions for spectators and a reinforced safety operation.

Friday night convoy

After administrative and technical checks, the competing vehicles will leave Puerto de Santiago square at 21:00 on Friday. The convoy will travel through the coastal streets to the new parc fermé at the Archipenque viewpoint.

Saturday competition

Affected roads will close from 06:30. The sporting programme consists of four runs: one free practice, one official practice and two official race runs. This edition also includes an invitation-only drift exhibition.

The competitive route covers 5.2 kilometres of the TF-454. Closures will affect travel between Tamaimo, Puerto de Santiago, Playa de la Arena and Los Gigantes, so allow extra time and plan an alternative route.

Spectator safety

This year’s operation adds the Canary Islands Police to local police, private security, firefighters, Civil Protection and other emergency services. Spectators must use authorised areas, follow marshal instructions and stay away from escape roads and prohibited locations.

Times and access arrangements may still receive final adjustments. Check the official source for the latest programme, parking, closures and safety instructions before travelling.
