Not every good plan in Santiago del Teide needs a booking. Viewpoints, beaches, coastal walks and inland stops make it easy to enjoy the area on a low budget.
Choose one area
Start with Los Gigantes, Puerto de Santiago, Playa de la Arena or the old town instead of trying to jump everywhere.
Bring the basics
Water, sun protection, comfortable shoes and a light layer if you go inland.
Respect signs and access
Free does not mean improvised: check sea, parking, trails and protected areas.
Finish with sunset
The west coast is one of the best places to close the day if visibility is good.
