Tamaimo viewpoint provides a broad reading of the municipality’s mid-altitude landscape. It shows how the village sits on the slopes and how Valle de Santiago descends towards Puerto de Santiago and Los Gigantes.
Visit in clear weather, preferably in morning or late-afternoon light. The relief helps explain the relationship between traditional paths, farmland and the coast.
Use only designated stopping areas and never stop on the road shoulder where it is unsafe. Wind, haze and low cloud can greatly reduce visibility.
