Charcos de Punta Negra is a group of three natural pools formed by old lava flows, in the Punta Barbero area next to Playa de la Arena. It is reached via Calle de Punta Barbero, off Avenida de Las Gaviotas.
Of the three pools, one is large and fairly deep, another medium-sized, and the third smaller, all with a rocky bottom. It sees less foot traffic than the nearby beaches, but it can be dangerous: only swim here in good weather and calm seas.
Better-equipped swimming spots are nearby in this part of the municipality, including Playa de la Arena itself, a short walk away.
