Iglesia de San Fernando Rey

A historic Valle de Santiago church founded in the 17th century and recognised by its half-orange dome.

Santiago del Teide Gratis Exterior visible todo el año. Acceso interior sujeto a apertura parroquial y celebraciones.

San Fernando Rey church stands in the historic centre of Santiago del Teide beside the Casa del Patio area. Fernando del Hoyo Solórzano, lord of the valley, commissioned it in 1679, although later reforms shaped the present building.

Inside are 18th-century religious images and features reflecting the development of the church and local community. From outside, the white facade, dark stonework, bell tower and half-orange dome are its clearest landmarks.

This is an active place of worship. Interior access depends on parish opening and services; visit quietly, dress appropriately and do not disrupt worship.
