Punta del Roque viewpoint is on Calle La Hondura along the Puerto de Santiago seafront. It is an urban viewpoint that can be reached on foot without planning a mountain route or moving the car for a short visit.
Its Atlantic-facing position works particularly well late in the afternoon. Calima, low cloud and sea haze affect visibility, so check the sky and arrive before sunset to enjoy the earlier light.
Combine it with La Hondura promenade, nearby <a href="/en/restaurants/?sdt_zone=puerto-de-santiago">restaurants</a> and other stops along <a href="/puerto-de-santiago/">Puerto de Santiago</a>. Wear comfortable shoes and remain in designated areas rather than approaching exposed edges or rocks for photographs.
