Start at Cha Domitila
The pottery centre explains a hand-building technique without a wheel, passed down through generations. Confirm opening before travelling and allow time for the traditional building, tools and pieces.
Walk through the village
Distances are short. Explore on foot, respect homes and farmland, and notice the stone, tiles, threshing floors, fig trees and almonds. Not every historic space is open to visitors.
Walk here when conditions suit
SL-TF 60 links Santiago del Teide with Arguayo. It is linear, so arrange your return. Other local paths meet nearby; follow signs and never use an unverified approximation for navigation.
Combine the visit sensibly
Arguayo pairs well with Santiago del Teide town, the Chinyero Visitor Centre or an upland walk. Avoid placing a long hike and too many road transfers in the same morning.
